The Joshi Home had a simple brief- create mesmerising furniture designs for the retro French Farmhouse. The space carries the timeless style of French design such as ornate details, sprinkled with a warm and charming aesthetic. It has a blend of luxurious velvets, suedes and textures with subtle minimalism. And the owners craved a furniture curation to seamlessly fit into the space, which INDEVA Furniture fulfilled accurately.
Speaking of INDEVA Furniture Design, the brand was established in 2011 with expertise in manufacturing wooden furniture. It has been a prominent vendor to legends in the market like FabIndia and Peppefry. Operating from and based in Harayana, their manufacturing facility is a proud process of artisans crafting heritage-rich pieces. On the other hand, Pallavi Sethi is the creative force and partner at Indeva Furniture Design. While Bheesham Sethi is a partner and strategic visionary behind the brand. Together, all of them amalgamated their quintessential and contemporary styles to garnish the Ambala French Farmhouse.
The designers gave special attention to the selection of materials. Rendering the touch of classic French interiors, a lot of their furniture had wooden dominance.
French Farmhouse: Rediscover and Restore Its Essence
To start with, the expansive living room is the ultimate luxurious beast of a French Farmhouse. Cladded with stone walls and subtle chandeliers, it’s the kind of space where you’d sit together on Christmas Eve. The all-over presence of wooden furniture in the form of a low-lying centre table or majestic sofas, shows the marriage of brown hues. It’s a cultural party of busy prints paired with solid coloured upholstery. It celebrates the purposeful observation of designers and their smooth style.
The heavenly staircase will make you melt with its peaceful opulence while the French windows will lead you to the other part of the room. The facile kitchen had wooden home accents with a touch of glass. Akin to a traditional French Farmhouse, it asked for cooking as a process, rather than a duty.
An Artful Curation Highlighting The Magnificent Rooms:
The folksy rooms of the Joshi Home writes tales of beauty in its unrefined and raw form. The mother’s room, to match her personality, is wrapped in rustic charm. It depicts the conversation between rattan and wood. The rattan bed with its post style head back and footrest mingle effortlessly with the added soft sofas. The multiple seating options actually speak a lot about the room’s functionality. While the tranquil white and blue floral wallpaper in the background adds to the cosy ambiance.
The uncle’s bedroom pivots attention with its calming colours. If you remember, during the pandemic, Pantone released a soft grey and bright yellow hue as the colour of the year. Capturing this incredible pair, the bedroom has the sensibility of grey and the playfulness of yellow. You’d see a rush of elegant sophistication through its thoughtful study table and bookshelf. And your eyes would immerse themselves in the expansive grey wall, which harmonises the space into one.
As you jump to the master bedrooms of the French Farmhouse, you’d see how the designers have explored vintage-inspired decor. So, you’d notice a four-post bed, styled with antique lamp-like side lights. It’s almost like living in the countryside but with a TV console to keep you in touch with the outer world. The room has an increasing conversation with natural light and spaciness.
As soon as you feel like the home tour ends here, The Den, basks proudly on its existence. This entertainment room of the French Farmhouse is like the statement design of any collection. Its serenity in design summarises the entire narrative whispering in every corner of the house. Replicating a hunter’s den, the room powerfully stands with leather couches, reclaimed style tables and consoles. It depicts rough vintage French furniture with ravishing textiles.
This entire French Farmhouse has a thousand secrets to tell and a thousand elements of notice. Each furniture picked and kept is so unique in its own design and the way in which it is styled. The house is an open invitation to wooden enthusiasts and peace questers.
