The Sustainable Furniture of Cane Concept

The Cane Concept brand, started its handicraft narrative in the year 1993, and expanded on to become infamous for its bespoke furniture built with innovative usage of bamboo, cane and wood, supporting the traditional pride of Nagaland. The storyline revolves around sustainability as the main character, and decades of experience adds to the brand’s expertise.

Nagaland has an abundance of bamboo and cane and hence since the period of their forefathers, Nagaland polished itself with unmatchable caliber in making mats, basketry, mugs, plates and furniture. And hence, Cane Concept pulls this craftsmanship into their collections, highlighting the qualities of being minimalist and clear cuts, harnessing the skills of local communities to ensure authenticity and adroitness. It offers various collections like tables, lampshades, trays, furniture, wall art and even an exclusive limited edition.

Diving into its products, you will see a similar nature of consciousness, and something that makes us think positive about the future. The Huh Tu Chair, reminisces the tattoos worn on the valiant naga people, and built meticulously with rattan and pre-dyed cane strips. The Chevron Chair is set in simple solid colors with cane and rattan.

Wrapped in a teal hue, the cane Tiffany chair exuberates a sense of royalty and eccentric weaving, while the Versatile chair hypnotizes us with its circular and black designs.

The Barrel Sofa Chair reminds us of olden times, with its wooden frame and cane weaving, while the Villa Sofa Chair embraces a rosewood frame with the same material in a bright red shade.

The Tawang Sofa Chair hosts a cushioned show, with a relaxing aura, and the Balcony Chair lines up in a playful elliptical shape in various colors like a dazzling blue and paprika.

Whether it’s the Raffia Pendant lampshade or thr Hüh Tu collection of wall art which takes inspiration from tattoos practiced by tribal women in North East Asia and Southeast Asian countries, or the Round Kyoto Tray, all stand as an epitome of art and culture. Cane Concept has contemporary elements with historical secrets woven in its products, giving us a chance to establish a greener world.
