Slowly and gradually, Sharda Exports made huge leaps.
How was The Rug Republic born?
Consequently, the brand started participating in exhibitions and won certifications. It served as a creative floor fashion studio. Furthermore, it paved an innovative journey of 3 decades. In 2013, Sharda Studio launched the incredible Rug Republic. The brand makes Handmade Rugs in almost 600 styles in 70 constructions. It was Aditya Gupta, who converted his parents’ small business into a global brand. TRR works under his philosophy of ‘Rethink, Rediscover, Renew’.
Additionally, his son, Raghav Gupta accelerated the spread of Handmade Rugs. Modern rugs got a recycled outlook, while the brand became an e-commerce business. Similarly, the brand gives a factory delivery time of 3 weeks. TRR became the only global brand to sell Indian handmade rugs, poufs, etc across 80 countries. TRR’s magnificent products: Beyond the World of Handmade Rugs
The Rug Republic isn’t renowned only for its handmade rugs. The brand also specializes in recycled items, chenilles, and bath rugs. Moreover, it is popularly known for its home décors accessories like poufs, cushions, and stools. Each product is designed with practicality and stunning aesthetics. From interesting patterns to vibrant colors, these modern rugs have an undeniable charm.
The materials used for making these contemporary rugs are fascinating. Apart from wool, jute, and hemp, materials like leather, denim, fabric and silk waste, plastic, etc are also used for creating organic rugs. Their leather rugs are crafted using leather strips, upcycled leather, or combined with cotton or hemp. Denim rugs are reincarnated by cutting into strips and sewing them together. They are further woven on shuttle looms to give gorgeous sustainable rugs.
Likewise, plastic has been an adamant enemy of mother earth. Hence, the brand’s newly designed handmade rugs are made from recycled PET bottles. These bottles are converted into soft tactile yarn and hand woven to produce upcycled rugs. Some of the most striking collections of the brand include Recycling Revolution, Jacquard Jazz, and many more.
The Rug Republic has decorated over 3 million homes with handmade eco-friendly rugs. These sustainable rugs have a story to convey. Each of their threads represents the brand’s majestic history. It celebrates the near future of sustainable home fashion.
