Otto by Federica Farina, is a path-light with a soft, beguiling shape. The slim disc of the base supports a cylindrical stem on which an adjustable semi-sphere housing the LED light rests. The head, thanks to a mechanism allowing it to incline, can direct the strip of light in varying sizes, allowing for a variety of uses.
Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the illumination sector still in operation today. The design qualities of the lamps make them icons that communicate across the generations to become an integral part of the homes they furnish. Over the years, Oluce has succeeded in building a collection structured like a tale, rich and multifaceted, inhabited by products that transcend fashion to become Italian design icons.
New standard products and collections are joined by Bespoke Tailoring, the customisation service which Oluce launched in 2015 to cater for the contract sector. Bolstered by its long history in production and with the desire to enhance its human and creative knowledgebase, the company decided to put its lighting experience at the disposal of current market needs. Specially designed lamps or modular versions of pre-existing designs as well as standard products make up the vast and varied tailor made range which the company offers to meet, in the best possible way, the needs of large and small suppliers.
About the Designer:
Federica Farina was born in Rome on 29 December 1996. She obtained her high school diploma in languages in 2015, before graduating from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome in 2018 with a degree in Product Design.
Federica is curious, she observes reality and breaks down different views of it in order to create complete products. She brings thoughts to life. She stops at nothing and her determination helps her achieve her goals with awareness.
