Delhi’s café scene welcomes a charming revival as Rose Café finds a new home at Eldeco Centre, Malviya Nagar. Designed by Acroterion Labs, this European-inspired café blends vintage elegance with modern comfort, offering an inviting retreat from the city’s hustle.
The café’s journey began when a mother-daughter duo envisioned a space that wasn’t just aesthetically pleasing but also evoked warmth, nostalgia, and homely comfort. Acroterion Labs translated this vision into an immersive experience where every corner tells a story of thoughtful design and hospitality.
A Harmonious Blend of Design & Culinary Experience
The interiors of Rose Café seamlessly align with its culinary philosophy, where every handcrafted dish mirrors the warmth and authenticity of a home-cooked meal. Staying true to its brand identity, the café’s color palette features soft blues and pinks, reinforcing an atmosphere of familiarity and charm.
While our design language often leans toward minimal Japandi aesthetics, Rose Café presented an opportunity to explore a contrasting realm—one of maximalist, shabby-chic charm. The challenge of translating this vision into an immersive, tactile experience was one we wholeheartedly embraced,” shares Shreshth Guptaa, Principal Architect and Founder of Acroterion Labs.
Previously nestled in the bylanes of Saidulajab, Rose Café now unfolds in a more open and light-filled setting. Its signature blue-framed façade, adorned with floor-to-ceiling glass, extends a warm invitation to passersby. The L-shaped layout offers dual entry points—one from the commercial complex and another leading to an alfresco seating area, ideal for leisurely coffee breaks. Motif floor tiles enhance the European-inspired café’s outdoor charm, while strategic spatial planning ensures seamless movement and optimal functionality.
The Unique Vintage Charm of Rose Café
Lace curtains, exposed brickwork in the café’s signature hues, and delicate hand-painted rose motifs create an intimate yet sophisticated ambiance. Custom-designed iron chandeliers adorned with roses, floral-printed upholstery, and rustic walls amplify the café’s lived-in charm. The bar back, designed as an oversized vintage crockery cabinet, becomes the heart of the space, evoking the nostalgia of a cherished family kitchen.
Personal heirlooms, antique mirrors, and floral lace lamps add layers of history and warmth, further deepening the emotional connection between food and space. “We envisioned the user experience first and then shaped the interiors around it. The result is a café that feels personal, timeless, and immersive,” says Shreshth.
Whether you’re savoring a book over coffee, gathering with friends, or enjoying a candlelit dinner, Rose Café offers a soulful escape wrapped in vintage charm and European elegance.
