Luxury Pent House

The luxurious Pent House designed by Fadd Sudio’s Farah and Dhaval for a nature lover and an avid photographer. FADD Studio was founded in 2012 in Bengaluru by Farah Ahmed and Dhaval Shellugar. The Studio’s philosophy is a persistently shifting system that’s meant to acclimatize to the fluctuating state of the design world. This luxurious Pent House is unabashed about using earthy tones in some areas and soft pastels in others; about subtlety in one corner and opulence in another. The whole shell is an unobtrusive beige-grey colour in amour coat. Wood and cement are predominant materials. The floor is a simple grey concrete finish tile.

The entrance wall is clad with thin vertical slats in natural teak adding instant warmth to the space. The first thing seen from the entrance is the minimal and straight lined living space in sunset orange and ocean blue that opens out to a raised platform which houses the tea table and is right under the double height area.

The highlight of this house is Japanese style raised tea area in bamboo prudently positioned under a double height origami-inspired chandelier that is set against large curtain-less windows. The whole setting is set against the curtain-less glazing which allows the rays of the sun in during the day, and allows you to gaze the starts at night. The tea table is a work of art and the custom made chandelier emits just the right light on it.

The living space houses a blue and rust cluster with a vibrant rug. Adjacent to this, a plush and stylish piano room has two conversation chairs against a vintage mirror. On the opposite wall, a sculpted marble bench, a sculptural black floor lamp and an ethnic artwork are seen against wooden mosaic. A seat carved out of a monolith of travertine sits near the piano and again the mosaic wall.

The bedrooms are simple and cozy in warm colours and use local elements such a Channapatna lamps, local woven fabrics, and cane furniture. The whole home uses minimalism in colour, balance in form and harmony is shape.
