Aashish V Anand, interior designer and co-founder of Vijay Anand Associates and Living Spaces, recently accomplished the unparalleled charm of Taj Katra, Jammu, during its grand redesigning period. Aashish V Anand, interior designer and co-founder of Vijay Anand Associates and Living Spaces, gave a fresh face to the hotel. He was also the one who had designed the hotel two decades ago. Hence, giving him the project to redesign Vivanta by Taj Katra’s public spaces was like a way to honor his past contribution.
To create elegant hotel interiors, they gave an extension to All Day Dining. This helped to allow the visitors to relish the appetizing cuisines with awe-inspiring natural glimpses. The Luxury Hotel design reminds us of the merger of traditional and modern ways of living.
The Exquisite Lobby- A peep into luxury hotel design
The lobby required curation to preserve the hotel’s original interior design. Hence, the designer meticulously adorned the original timber paneling with contemporary paint finishes, mirrors, and metals. Furthermore, to achieve a minimalist hotel décor, the wooden paneling was paired with a subtle color palette of blues and browns. The new lobby stood out with confidence and has a much innovative look than the older ones.
Adding a Sense of Practicality
A hotel’s lobby doesn’t just consist of furniture or beautiful interiors, it is wrapped in a box of functionality. To support this, the designer added additional seating in the reception area. This is the area which has waiting periods or is incredible enough to invite residents to relax lounging. Hence, these additional seating serve their purpose perfectly.
Spend Soothing Evenings
For a comforting evening, the designer connected the lobby to a magnificent terrace. It carries some trendy hotel décor options like glass railing and patterned, cemented and pebbled tiles. The view is a gift to the eyes. Rolling peaks of green, stunning flora and fauna and a captivating breeze, penetrates the heart. Such a luxury hotel design is meant for peaceful evening high-tea and enjoyable dinner.
Enhancing Dining Experience
They gifted the luxurious dining area with a few changes. A buffet area and open kitchen are constructed to craft a vast space for the visitor. Furthermore, the visitors can relish the fascinating nature views while enjoying their unforgettable meals. The designer beautified the space with patterned tiles and raw rattan work to touch the area of sustainability.
