Yasanche launches the ‘Splash Fruit Tray’ from its Water Series. This unconventional home décor accessory is moulded in translucent resin using eight intricate techniques to achieve the final product. Since, these techniques are hand-processed, each piece has one-of-a-kind features.
The inspiration behind Yasanche’s Water Series is the purity and kinetic form of water. This Series exhibits a unique collection of accessories that portray the fluidity of water in its different states of existence, and its natural flow in the form of ripples, splashes, droplets and bubbles—shapes and movements that have been wonderfully captured as a moment in time. Taking cues from the ‘Ripple Tray,’ the ‘Splash Fruit Tray’ takes the idea further by replicating a large splash of water. The piece is designed as a double layer tray and is inspired by the moment when a big object falls into a lake or any other huge water body. The ‘Splash Fruit Tray’ conjures the scene of the resultant sudden gush or splash of water that is created before the object is submerged. The splash caused by a large object usually rises above the water surface and creates its own ripples, which has been duplicated in the ‘Splash Fruit Tray.’ This piece is more sculptural, where the true nature and fluid characteristic of water is immortalised by the hands of master craftsmen. The top layer of the splash has been designed as a cocoon to hold objects such as fruits, while the bottom layer showcases the resultant ripples on the surface of water. The ‘Splash Fruit Tray’ can be utilised as a home décor piece or as a tray to store fruits or other small objects.
