The 17th edition of Asian Paints ColourNext unveils Colour Trends for 2020, Colour of the Year ‘Curiosity’ and Wallpaper of the Year ‘Silver Night’
Collaborating with the finest experts from a wide range of disciplines – architecture, interiors, fashion, sociology, advertising, F&B and media – Asian Paints ColourNext puts together a comprehensive forecast of colours, materials, textures and finishes for those who design for India.

This year’s ‘Colour of the Year’ is “Curiosity” – a modern, clear shade of blue brimming with energy and inspired by azurite the copper mineral ore. It energizes us with an optimism to persist with our focussed pursuits, and be the best version of ourselves. Curiosity lets us experiment, be undeterred by failure, and brings us closer to the answers we seek.
The wallpaper of the year presented by Nilaya is an interpretation of the colour Curiosity in print, technique and material. This year, Nilaya collaborates with Nicobar to present ‘Silver Night’ the wallpaper of the year – a special design celebrating the spirit of the moon and its myriad influences on our life. Part of the limited edition ‘Luna’ collection, it is a tribute to the connection between man and the moon.
