Ekolyfe was founded by entrepreneur, Jignesh Pujara with a vision of offering safe food. Initially, their store was an expansive space of sustainability. Gradually they converted into a store-cum-cafe space blending tastes and choices. Their cafe went through a transformation phase to fend off the best of their menu in the best way possible. We seamlessly explored the brand’s story to co-relate with their present and comprehend their planet-saving future.
The Unforgettable Firsts Of Ekolyfe
The Zero-Waste Cafe started as a store that sold simple yet staple needs of a person. From indigenous varieties of rice, dals, millets, and spices to Welsh Award Winning Cheese, A2 Milk, and organic sugar, the store takes care of its customers’ health. Furthermore, they even offer Vegan products and Vegan sweets and savouries including in-house made gelatos baked breads, and many more! There was a minglement of more than 500 products, each of them distinctive and peaceful to the environment.
All these products were sourced from local farmers, promoting their hard work and talents. Moreover, the store utilized glass, banana leaves, or cloth bags for packaging and storing. They even installed a community fridge wherein customers could drop their unused food and the needy passing by could pick them up. And this simple and serene space started weaving itself into a haven of flavor and good health.
Soon, Ekolyfe built a cafe inside their space for customers to grab a hearty and balanced meal. The crux of this cafe was that it handcrafted dishes out of the natural ingredients that they were selling. That added a personal touch! They envisioned a no-waste cafe by preparing dishes on the spot and ensuring a heavenly taste. Ekolyfe even sent leftover vegetable peels for conversion into biodegradable manure. Their enormous number of maida-free, sugar-free, and milk-free options catered to an audience that found it difficult to find these food categories at an affordable price. The Cafe looks forward to a conscious lifestyle, making meals an enjoyable and wholesome process.
