The first thing you baked? And One baking tool you can’t live without?
I was always passionate about baking and the first thing that I baked for my family was a brownie and it was a hit! One thing I can’t stay without in the kitchen is my Spatula as it is a basic thing every baker needs.
A celebrity you’d love to bake for?
If given a chance to bake for a celebrity, it is going to be my Chef Mr. Anil. I learnt a lot from him and to bake something for him and make him eat that would be my privilege.
Your biggest kitchen disaster?
Ohh! I can never forget the day when I forgot to add Vanilla essence to my brownies. The brownies turned out good but the subtle taste of vanilla was missing. This small mistake taught me a big lesson and now I check all my ingredients twice before I start baking.
A baking myth you want to bust?
One big myth is that people feel all ovens bake the same way. But this is not true, each oven bakes at a different temperature and we need to study and research about the oven to have the perfect output.
One ingredient that’s always in your pantry?
All the ingredients play a major role in baking. But one product that remains constant is All-purpose flour ie Maida. It is quintessential as things can’t be prepared without it. So I make sure, I never run out of maida.
A flavour you think is underrated?
Cardamom is highly underrated.
If you weren’t a baker, you’d be…?
An artist. I love to play around with colours and things.
Your favourite baking show or movie?
