La Traviata Slamp Lighting Is Ready To Illuminate Your Space

A space cannot exist without light- Lighting is what defines an interior, and transforms it into a breathing area. In the same way, Slamp’s La Traviata, an iconic suspension lamp, created by their illustrious designer Robert Wilson, is all set to illuminate our hearts.

The Italian brand, Slamp, has been striving since 1994, and since then has been producing state-of-the-art lamps, drawing inspiration from our dear nature. They have patented and invented their material- technopolymer- which is highly lightweight, reflects and refracts light delicately, reduces environmental cost, and uses genuine techniques like cold cutting and hand folding.

Dubai’s Leila Heller Gallery, a pioneer in welcoming recent designer’s art to the Middle East, is hosting a Video Portraits exhibition, in respect to the innovative works of Robert Wilson, starting from 13th November. This exhibition is a fragment of Dubai’s Downtown Design, which is a trade fair to commemorate artistical, novel designs from around the world.

Lighting Collection That Meticulously Crafted by Robert Wilson

Robert Wilson meticulously tailored the La Traviata lighting with extreme precision, offering it in two different sizes: 180 and 220. This ethereal suspension lighting is incredibly light yet sturdy, seemingly existing on its own, casting a 360° glow while gracefully hanging from the ceiling. Its refractions extend outward, transcending our reach, commanding light sources, and emanating a soothing peace.

Slamp chose a sumptuous backdrop for this exhibition, allowing their expressive lighting to transform a simple space into an opulent reality. The tabletops were further adorned with the Clizia Mama Non-Mama lighting—a suspended bouquet of delicate petals—imparting an air of sedative tranquility and unparalleled beauty to the area. Creative Director Luca Mazza and Sales and Marketing Director Erika Martino also graced the occasion with their presence.

Robert Wilson has been a theater stage director and playwright, and the scenic usage of lights, in his plays, has been his significant style. Incorporating his skills of playing with, he designed La Traviata, having a nature of virtuosity, and the ability to metamorphose a mundane room into an extravagant space of beauty and awe.

Slamp has an identity of its authentic feathery material and converts its 2D property into majestic 3D forms, with a trivial weight. Their La Traviata is more like a homage to all their previous works and is here to not just furnish your home, but also to uplift its aura and elucidate the true essence of grandeur.
