Furniture Collection By Escape Is An Ode To The Indigenous Tribes

Furniture Collection

Think of an enthralling Furniture Collection, meant to embark on a journey towards the Indigenous tribes of North-East India. It’s an extremely ethereal idea mixed with minimalism and intricate details. And Escape by Creatomy has got it just the right way. The furniture brand with its contemporary minimalism launched its purposeful collection. Portraying the heavenly culture of the Indigenous tribes, the range carries a subtle essence. It’s the marriage of art and functionality.

Escape by Creatomy was founded to achieve this blend. The founder, Prateek Sabharwal was tired of the clients’ briefs and boundaries. He took a step beyond it to build lifestyle and decor products. They believe that good design is for everyone. Escape tries to escape conventional ideas and to step outside the box. And their recent Furniture Collection is yet another example of their pampered vision.

The Cultured Inspiration:

The distinctive Furniture Collection is truly a vision of Prateek. It is so because the collection isn’t just good for the planet but its inspiration also promotes cultural diversity. The range is crafted based on the indigenous tribes of North-East India. The seven sisters weave a rich diversity, yet how little do we know about their tribes? And to uplift and promote their generous contribution to the country, the Furniture Collection swiftly considers them as its muse. “We did a lot of research about the lost tribes and took photo journals from certain photographers as reference material. Mostly the photo journals and books we collected were our inspiration. All of the items that inspired the collection were daily use objects,” explains Prateek.

If you glance at their Pin Chair, you’ll notice that its legs are the shape of the hairpin worn by tribes. Supporting his ingenuity further, Prateek gives another example, “For things like tribal groves, we try to use the end pieces of wood. Typically, when you’re manufacturing, the end pieces are discarded. But we use such end pieces of wood and give them a form. And it’s an abstract form that is created by the shape of the wood itself. Depending on the varying thicknesses of the tree, the end pieces have been used and sliced and then stacked to create the tribal grove, which is sustainable as well.” The Furniture Collection is the voice of the founder’s ethos. He, an avid follower of sustainability has poured his heart out to wrap up the range with a touch of sensibility.

The Furniture Collection In An Essential Glance:

The foundation of this Furniture Collection is based on a noteworthy design thinking process. Firstly, it resonates with the brand’s values. Secondly, it exudes great appeal and remarkable functionality. And thirdly, its furniture pieces are versatile enough to fit in any space of the house.

The Furniture Collection has lots of wood, dust of magic, and keys of a soothing rhythm. They repurpose end pieces that would typically be discarded in the manufacturing process. But they utilize it to create unforgettable and minimalist furniture. The brand relies on the Japanese technique of Sugi Ban, wherein the wood is charred and later sealed with natural oils. Furthermore, the brand’s use of 5-axis CNC machining for precision detailing reflects its products’ ultimate finish.

To start with, their Pebble Coffee Table blends art and practicality. Its sleek top holds beautiful concentric circles, carved to form a tactile sensation. The wood grains with incredible black stains of the table are said to elevate any space with its ‘Indigenes’. Their Impala Sofa chair and bookshelf are worth giving a space in your heart and home. The Scoop Chair offers the perfect dip to sit on. Even though it has no upholstery, the chair forms flawless ergonomic furniture.

The Furniture Collection speaks highly of user-centric design with a rising beauty. The collection is meant to mesmerize you, giving your home one more reason to shine.
