With the launch of the iconic NMACC, India gave a culture-rich gift to the world. The cultural hub is a state-of-the-art centre for Indian arts and culture. More importantly, the culture centre is the brainchild of the Reliance Foundation chairperson and founder, Nita Mukesh Ambani.
On 31st March, 2023, Nita Ambani Arts and Culture Centre started its journey in India. This cultural hub is Nita Mukesh Ambani’s dream project. An exceptional Bharatnatyam dancer, Nita Ambani wanted to preserve the arts and culture of India. Hence, the multi-million dollar project stems from the desire to give a newstage to performing arts. Therefore, let’s dive deeper into this massive building of emotions and history.
The highly opulent cultural hub has 5 major spaces.
The Grand Theatre at NMACC:
The magical Grand Theatre at NMACC is sure to take your breath away. The phenomenal theater is packed with a world-class integrated Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System and Virtual Acoustic System. Moreover, the extraordinary space is studded with 8,400 Swarovski crystals. In fact, the massive theater seats 2000 people. Additionally, it has 18 Diamond Boxes for an unmatched experience.
The Studio Theatre:
It is a grand theater for upcoming and established performers. This NMACC studio holds 250 people.
The Cube:
This innovative NMACC centre is a strategically planned design. The space has a movable stage and seats. Furthermore, it has a capacity for 125 people. This cultural hub offers new-age art forms.
Art House:
This 16,000 sq ft space is designed according to global museum specifications. It is a four-story art space designed for art installations and exhibitions. Giving fresh face to the arts and culture of India, the space is a treasure. The iconic Fountain of Joy welcomes visitors to the house.
Apart from this, it launched with three massive events. This includes The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation, which shows Indian art and culture through dance and music. The India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination, shows Indian
and Indian influenced fashion. The Sangam/Confluence highlighted multilingualism.
The cultural hub NMACC will have performances, workshops and visitors all year long. It is the glistening future of the arts and culture of India. The culture centre symbolizes India’s proud position in the vast world.
