Patricia Urquiola creates the Nuez chairs from recyclable plastic as part of a collection for furniture makers Andreu World. It is an enveloping, suggestive, warm and at the same time technological seat. It is born from the idea of creating a modulating seat as if it were a sheet of paper. The collection consists of armchairs with thermoplastic shell available in several colors. Its interior is presented in thermo-polymer or upholstered with options of fixed seat and backrest cushion or seat cushion. It is offered in four versions of bases four wooden legs, aluminum four-star, five casters or cantilever.

Patricia Urquiola explained that Nuez starts from “the idea of creating a seat that folds like a sheet of paper”. The injected thermoplastic housing is expressed as a flexible surface that hugs the body when sitting. The folds and curves of the seat designed by Patricia Urquiola convey softness and materiality.
